Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

1. Overview

LawCentral ("we", "our", "us"), operated by Partwigo Pvt. Ltd., India, is a legal practice management platform built for Indian advocates. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our website and products.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information (name, email address, law firm details)
  • Mobile phone number — required to create and use a LawCentral account. We verify your number via a one-time SMS code at first sign-in and, on the basis of the self-generated consent you provide at sign-up, use it for account recovery, security alerts, case notifications, customer support, product feedback, and — until you opt out — subscription and promotional updates delivered by SMS, WhatsApp, voice call, or email (see Section 6).
  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, device & browser metadata)
  • Case and document data that you choose to store on LawCentral

We do not sell your data. Case content is only used to provide and improve the product experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide core features such as case management, research, and drafting
  • To maintain security, debug issues, and prevent abuse
  • To contact you via SMS, WhatsApp, voice call, or email — using contact details you voluntarily provided at sign-up — for account verification (OTP), security and system alerts, billing and support, product feedback, and subscription or promotional updates, as further described in Section 6

4. Data Security & Location

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Customer data is hosted on infrastructure located within India to help meet local data residency expectations.

5. Google User Data

LawCentral accesses certain Google user data when you connect your Google account. This section describes what data we access, how we use it, and with whom we share it.

Data we access

  • Authentication: Your name, email address, and profile picture via Google Sign-In, used solely to create and manage your LawCentral account.
  • Google Calendar (optional): Calendar events and metadata, accessed only when you explicitly connect your Google Calendar, used to sync hearing dates and deadlines.

How we use Google user data

Google user data is used exclusively to provide the LawCentral features described above. We do not use Google user data for advertising, market research, or any purpose unrelated to providing and improving LawCentral's functionality.

Sharing, transfer, and disclosure

We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to any third party. Your Google data remains solely within LawCentral's systems and is never sold, rented, traded, or made available to data brokers, advertisers, or any other external entity. We do not use Google user data for purposes other than providing or improving the user-facing features of LawCentral.

LawCentral's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Phone Number & User-Initiated Communications

Phone number verification is mandatory for every account. At first sign-in (and again if your number is later marked unverified), we deliver a one-time SMS code to the number you provide and cannot grant access to the application until that code is entered correctly.

Self-generated consent. By signing up and voluntarily providing your mobile number and email address, you knowingly and directly give us that contact information. Our possession and use of your contact details is based entirely on your own explicit actions and consent, and does not constitute a privacy breach or an unauthorised invasion of privacy under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Authorised communications. On the basis of that consent, you explicitly authorise LawCentral, its employees, and authorised representatives to contact you via SMS, WhatsApp, voice call, or email for account verification (OTP), security and system alerts, customer support, product feedback, onboarding, and offers of paid subscriptions and promotional updates. This authorisation overrides, to the extent permitted by law, any registration you may have on the National Do Not Call (NDNC) register or any similar "Do Not Disturb" (DND) register under applicable telecommunication regulations.

Opting out of marketing. You can withdraw your consent to marketing and promotional communications at any time by replying "STOP" to any of our message threads or by writing to support@lawcentral.in. Transactional communications — OTP, security, billing, and service alerts — will continue as necessary to operate your account.

Sub-processor. SMS delivery and code verification are performed by MSG91 (Walkover Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd., India), acting as our processor under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. MSG91 receives your phone number and country code solely to transmit the verification code and confirm its entry, and does not use your number for any other purpose. WhatsApp business messages are delivered through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform under similar processor arrangements.

Your phone number is retained on your LawCentral account record for as long as the account exists. If you delete your account, the number is removed along with the rest of your account data. You may update your phone number from Account Settings; doing so will require fresh SMS verification before the update takes effect.

7. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party infrastructure providers, analytics tools, and payment processors. These vendors only receive the minimum data required to perform their services and are bound by contractual data protection obligations.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we store about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to certain types of processing

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@lawcentral.in.

9. Data Controller

The data controller for your personal data is Partwigo Pvt. Ltd., India. For questions about this Privacy Policy or to exercise your data rights, please contact us at partwigolabs@gmail.com.
